Actually processed locally

The browser File API reads your video and WebAssembly processes its audio on this device. It is never sent to our servers.

Export the format you actually need

Use MP3 for sharing, WAV for editing and archives, M4A for Apple and podcast workflows, or copy the source track without re-encoding.

Trim before you extract

Export only the interview, lesson, or screen-recording segment you need without opening another editor.

Frequently asked questions

Is my video really never uploaded?

Yes. Reading, trimming, transcoding, and output creation all happen in this browser. Only the processing engine code is downloaded from a CDN on first use.

Which video formats are supported?

MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, MKV, AVI, and common MPEG files are accepted. Final support depends on whether FFmpeg WASM can decode the audio codec inside the video.

How is Original different from MP3?

Original copies the existing audio bytes, so it is fast and avoids generation loss. MP3 re-encodes the audio but plays on more devices.

Why can large files fail on phones?

The browser must hold the source and output in memory. Low-memory devices may run out before the 500 MB page limit; trim the source or use a computer.
