Local-first tools

• Decoding, encoding, and download creation happen on your device.
• Compatibility engines or model assets may be downloaded as software so processing can continue locally; that download is code, not your file.

If a feature needs to upload media to complete a request (for example, certain cloud AI or high-quality transcription options), we will ask for that action or make the upload step clear before it happens.
